Independent Healthcare Providers Network (IHPN)

The IHPN represents the independent healthcare sector. It shares knowledge, innovation and expertise for the common good. Areas that its remit cover include ensuring that member organisations, such as The Hospital Group, provide high quality, safe and effective healthcare. IHPN membership extends to independent providers across all four countries of the UK. 

IHPN’s principles 

• To ensure the delivery of first class, safe and efficient healthcare.
• To uphold the principles and values of the NHS Constitution in instances where its members deliver NHS-funded services. 
• To work constructively and proactively with other healthcare providers, whether privately or publicly-funded, to deliver integrated care. 
• To participate in, and support, appropriate health education and training. 
• To fully meet the NHS standards for transparency and information relating to patient outcomes. To fully participate in the CQC inspection regime. 
• To ensure appropriate arrangements exist which listen and respond to patient concerns. 
• To abide by the NHS Duty of Candour and apply it across all patient groups. 

The IHPN’s functions and services focus on 6 key areas: 

• Share information and intelligence 
• Be the point of contact between members and healthcare regulators 
• Collect, produce and disseminate data 
• Provide a voice for the independent healthcare sector 
• Influence policy-making and decisions 
• Facilitate events for members and the wider independent sector

The Joint Council for Cosmetic Practitioners (JCCP) 

The Hospital Group was the first medical aesthetics provider to become a partner of the JCCP. 

As a business, we have made a commitment to ensure that every patient is able to begin their treatment journey with us confidently, knowing exactly what to expect regarding the quality of care we will deliver. Our partnership with the JCCP forms part of this commitment. It demonstrates our continued focus on delivering care of the highest quality to our patients, while also contributing to the improvement of standards across the industry. 

Established with the objective of raising public awareness of the risks of undergoing treatments, the JCCP helps people who are considering or undergoing non-surgical (medical aesthetics) and hair restoration treatments. This organisation provides advice on matters of patient safety. In addition, it helps patients to access registers of approved practitioners and providers of education and training.  

As a condition of membership, every member must meet the JCCP’s competency framework. This ensures that patients can have the peace of mind that comes from knowing that those on the register have the appropriate levels of skill and hold the relevant qualifications needed to carry out medical aesthetics procedures. 

Through our partnership with the JCCP, every one of The Hospital Group’s health care practitioners who is involved in the administration of medical aesthetics treatments is now a member of the JCCP Practitioner Register and has committed to the JCCP and Cosmetic Practice Standards Authority Joint Code of Practice. 

Any patient looking for treatment can be certain that their practitioner is professionally competent and that they hold the required qualifications, as the JCCP register allows each practitioner to be searched and individually identified. 

As part of the partnership, The Hospital Group and the JCCP work together on marketing and communications initiatives, with the aim being to raise public awareness of the risks associated with medical aesthetics treatments and the importance of using fully competent and registered practitioners.
