Varicose veins are lumpy, enlarged veins that can develop in the leg. You might feel that they are unsightly and cause you embarrassment, but the good news is that they can be safely be removed using one of our treatment techniques.
We offer three different methods of varicose vein removal. Our non-surgical options include Radiofrequency VNUS Closure, which uses heat to seal the vein from the inside. The other non-surgical option we provide is Endovenous Laser Ablation (EVLA) which uses laser light to seal the varicose vein from the inside.
Our surgical option is called Vein Avulsion, where our highly qualified surgeons make a small incision into the skin and the varicose veins are removed.
The procedure will either close off the unwanted vein, or remove it completely. The benefit of having varicose veins removed is that any swelling you may be experiencing in the area is eliminated, and so the pain they can cause is stopped.
Once the vein is removed, you should experience improved circulation and may feel better about how your legs look, meaning that you are happier wearing the clothes you want without worrying about your varicose vein/s being shown.
The procedure involves minimal pain, and with our advanced technology, minimal scarring.
It is important to weigh up the risks involved against the benefits that the treatment can bring – just as with all types of medical aesthetic treatment.
Your medical aesthetic practitioner will talk you through any risks and complications, although possible side effects are usually minimal. They include scar tissue, sensitivity and mild pain.
Although varicose veins are usually medically harmless, you may feel that removing them and having an even skin tone would make you feel happier about your overall appearance.
You may have noticed your varicose vein getting bigger, or it could be causing you discomfort while you are trying to sleep. It may be bothering you if it is stopping you from wearing particular clothes as you feel conscious about it being on show.
Our medical aesthetics practitioner can guide you through the removal procedure at your free treatment consultation to see if it is right for you.
We understand that every patient’s requirements are different, and so treatment will be tailored specifically to you. As a responsible provider of medical aesthetics, we place a great deal of importance on our free, no-obligation consultations.
