Many of us have concerns about the ever growing signs of ageing. At your individual consultation, we will provide you with a personalised anti-wrinkle plan, which will help revive and refresh your skin.
Anti-wrinkle treatments aren't just for women, in fact, injectables for men are growing in popularity year on year. Our medical aesthetic practitioners use an injectable medical product to smooth out fine lines and wrinkles on the face temporarily.
Wrinkles are a natural part of the ageing process. However certain outside factors like smoking, environmental pollution, exposure to the sun and looking at screens and monitors can all take their toll on the skin, especially around your eyes and on your forehead.
Aging causes the collagen and elastin fibres in your face to break down, leading to the skin losing its firm, smooth texture and for wrinkles to develop.
Following the anti-wrinkle injections, the muscles in your face relax, which helps your skin to appear fresher and younger. The treatment is a temporary measure which can reduce the effects of ageing by smoothing out fine lines and wrinkles. Crow’s feet and frown lines can be diminished to reveal a more youthful, plumper look.
After your anti-wrinkle treatment, it will take between 5 to 14 days for you to see the results, and these will last up to 16 weeks. This is a fast and effective procedure – only around 30 minutes - which is carried out by expert medical aesthetic practitioners. And there is minimal downtime afterwards, so you should be able to get back to your usual schedule following treatment.
It is important to weigh up the risks involved against the benefits that the treatment can bring – just as with all types of medical aesthetic treatment.
Your medical aesthetic practitioner will talk you through any risks and complications, although possible side effects are usually minimal. They can include mild bruising around the site of the injection, you may have a headache which will usually subside within 24 of treatment, and an allergic reaction, although rare, is possible.
Anti-wrinkle injections could be right for you if you have concerns regarding natural signs of ageing. If you would like to reduce the appearance of frown lines on your forehead, or if you have wrinkles around your eyes that that are bothering you, anti-wrinkle injections could be the solution. They can help achieve a younger look, leading to a boost in your self-confidence.
Once we have gathered information on your medical history, and discussed it with you at your free treatment consultation, your medical aesthetic practitioner will be able to understand whether you are a suitable candidate for anti-wrinkle injections.
We understand that every patient’s requirements are different, and so treatment will be tailored specifically to you. As a responsible provider of medical aesthetics, we place a great deal of importance on our free, no-obligation consultations.
Your practitioner will provide a detailed pricing overview for your treatment following your consultation process. To read more about the flexible credit options available via our partnership with specialist financial providers, please view our pricing and finance page.

Your journey step by step
Your journey with The Hospital Group begins with a consultation with our friendly medical aesthetic practitioners, this may be an Aesthetician, Nurse Practitioner or Doctor. During this conversation you can talk through why you’re interested in this treatment, how much it costs, if there are finance options available to you, whether you’re suitable for treatment, if you’ll need a one off treatment, or a full course, as well as potential treatment dates.
You can ask our medical aesthetic practitioners any questions as they are extremely knowledgeable and have undertaken extensive training. If you feel ready to proceed, we can carry out a laser patch test (where applicable) and book your first treatment for a date and time that suits you.
You can ask your medical aesthetic practitioner any final questions on the day of the treatment. All pre- and post-treatment advice will be discussed prior to the day itself, so you will know exactly what to expect during your treatment, including how long it will take, and how it will feel.
For most medical aesthetic treatments, you will be able to leave the clinic as soon as your treatment has been completed, and you should be able to go about your normal day-to-day activities. If you experience any mild discomfort, redness or swelling, this will subside within the following days. Any specific aftercare requirements will be discussed at your consultation.
