Although as yet we’re not able to see you in person at a The Hospital Group clinic due to Covid-19 restrictions, we’re still here to provide you with guidance as you progress on your weight loss journey.

Gastric band adjustment restrictions
We understand how frustrating it can be when our patients are unable to visit us for aftercare, especially for gastric band patients who are seeking adjustments. However, as a trusted and professional provider of private healthcare in the UK we adhere to all relevant regulations and guidelines, including those relating to Covid-19. The government has made it clear that, at the moment, we are unable to re-open and so we cannot currently carry out gastric band adjustments for our weight loss patients.
We hope to be able to offer adjustments in selected clinic locations from the end of July, although this is subject to changes in government advice at that time.
We are aware that some providers may already be offering a band adjustment service, which is against the UK government regulations. It should be noted that patients who use an alternative provider for gastric band adjustments are breaching their The Hospital Group weight loss aftercare terms and conditions, and therefore their surgical aftercare agreements will be voided.
Ready to see you when restrictions relax
These are extraordinary times, and while current government Covid-19 regulations mean that our activities as a private healthcare provider are severely restricted at the moment, we are hopeful that these may relax in the coming weeks.
We are already preparing to welcome our patients back through a careful re-opening of our services when regulations allow. We are implementing many measures in our clinics to ensure the health and safety of our patients and staff.
Any re-introduction of weight loss services after restrictions are lifted will be taken in stages to ensure that we can provide a safe environment for our staff and patients which adheres to government guidance. Our weight loss patients will be a priority when this happens, and we will advise you as soon as our clinics are ready to welcome you again.
