He has shared his medical expertise by publishing more than 50 peer-reviewed papers and articles on subjects such as reconstruction, stem cell medicine, burn care, and trauma, as well as aesthetic surgery.
Mr Sforza studied under a world-leading surgeon, Ivo Pitanguy, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. After completing his medical training he was invited to remain at Professor Pitanguy’s school as a teacher. He later moved to the UK and has worked in many prominent British hospitals.
In 2009, Mr Sforza was nominated as a Professor of the UNIFESO School of Medicine and was responsible for the internship in plastic surgery for medical students in the UK. A year later, in 2010, he received the prestigious honour of being nominated as an examiner of the Intercollegiate Exam of Royal College of Surgeons (RCSEd). In 2015 he became Professor of the ESA School of Medicine, again assuming responsibility for the internship in plastic surgery for UK medical students.
As a testament to his skill and reputation, Mr Sforza was awarded the Best Scientific Exhibit Award in 2009 and 2011 by the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS). The British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS) also awarded him the Hackett Memorial Prize in 2012 and the Highly Recommended Prize in 2013.
Throughout his extensive career, he has acquired experience in a wide range of surgeries and is particularly proficient in the cosmetic procedures he performs for Transform Hospital Group.
