Sameh Dimitri

Mr Dimitri is an expert vascular consultant, having trained in vascular surgery in the Mersey region. He has a special interest in minimally invasive treatment for venous disease, and is one of only a few consultant vascular and endovascular surgeons in the UK who are approved to provide training to other surgeons in cyanoacrylate glue treatment.

Mr Dimitri is on the international committee of the American Venous Forum (AVF) and is an ambassador for the AVF. In addition, he has been a clinical advisor for The National Institute of Clinical Excellence (NICE) on new technologies.

During his career, Mr Dimitri has conducted courses to train consultants who wish to develop their skills in new vein treatments, and he has spent time as an honorary lecturer at the University of Liverpool, passing on his knowledge and expertise to the next generation of medical professionals.

Mr Dimitri has participated in international trials for minimally invasive treatments of varicose veins. In addition, he has an interest in clinical research, having contributed to a number of clinical publications, and is a former member of Vascular Governance North West of England.
