Kanagaraj Marimuthu

Currently a consultant at University Hospitals of North Midlands, his previous roles includes time spent as a consultant at Ashford & St Peters Hospitals NHS Trust in Surrey.

During a medical career which spans more than 20 years, Mr Marimuthu has gained a wealth of experience and has performed in excess of 4,000 operations, so has considerable expertise in laparoscopic (minimally-invasive) gastric bypass and sleeve gastrectomy surgery. He is committed to delivering safe and high-quality care with a personalised approach.

Mr Marimuthu is committed to continuing his professional development, and to provide the best outcomes for his patients he attends conferences, workshops and courses which keep him well-versed in developments in his specialist field.

In addition, he has contributed to and written numerous clinical publications and scientific papers. Mr Marimuthu has also conducted clinical audits and projects. He has also presented at various meetings and congresses in the UK and internationally.

Mr Marimuthu is keen to pass on the knowledge and expertise that he has gained during his career to the next generation of medical professionals, and is currently a professional development tutor for students from Keele Medical School.
