After being awarded his Certification of Training from the British Association of Plastic Surgeons, Mr Mahdi gained further experience by working as a Fellow in Norwich for a year. In order to hone his skills, he took up a 6-month cosmetic surgery fellowship at Humana Hospital in London. He subsequently worked overseas as the consultant heading up a large plastic surgery unit, catering for a range of surgery types, including cosmetic.
On Mr Mahdi’s return to the UK in 1995, he worked for the Countess of Chester Hospital, carrying out major operations and performing many reconstructive procedures. He has worked in private healthcare for over 20 years and has performed hundreds of cosmetic surgeries during this time including breast enlargements, nose jobs, face lifts and tummy tucks.
Mr Mahdi has had regular involvement in the teaching of junior doctors, nurses and medical students. He lectured for the Final FRCS courses organised by the University of Southampton and has presented at international conferences around the world.
Mr Mahdi has a keen interest in the field of cosmetic surgery and has contributed to a number of peer-reviewed papers in publications such as the British Journal of Plastic Surgery and the British Journal of Hand Surgery. He has experience in performing all aspects of aesthetic and reconstructive procedures, and is particularly specialised in breast surgery and liposuction.
Our surgeons are hand-picked for their advanced skillset and experience in their designated field. We never compromise in our patient care. All our surgeons work with us under practising privileges agreements and are registered with the General Medical Council (GMC), holding a Licence to Practice.
Our surgeons have an annual appraisal and continue to develop professionally during their careers. Once every 5 years, all doctors go through a GMC revalidation process. They are granted Practising Privileges via our Clinical Governance and Compliance Committee, and they carry their own professional indemnity insurance.
While our surgeons and clinical teams have carried out thousands of procedures during their careers, they never forget that it may be your first. It’s our aim to make your experience as positive as your outcome after treatment.
